The Park Theatre is the place for your next event. The beautiful, historic theatre, which ran as a single-run movie theatre for over 60 years, has recently been home to comedy troupes, bands, theatre productions, weddings, birthday parties, mystery dinners, and much more. RENTAL RATES

Cost Daily:
Weekday (Sunday - Thursday) - $500.00
Weekend (Friday - Saturday) - $600.00

Wedding Package (Includes additional day for set-up/takedown) - $750.00
Non-Profit Organization - $400.00

Deposit:
A $300.00 deposit is required with every rental. You are required to meet with the manager 24 hours after your rental and upon inspection of the theatre after your event. If everything is as you found it, the $300.00 deposit will be completely refunded. If not, an appropriate amount will be deducted.

Your Cost Includes:

  • A typical rental is 12 hours and you must be out of the facility by 1:00 a.m., however, special arrangements may be made, depending on the needs of the next renter.
  • Flexible seating, use of all tables (36 in rounds - 10), round drink tables (#), round bistros (36 inches - 8), and banquets (6 feet - 8). All tables are equipped with chairs. For only chair seating, the theatre offers seating for 299, which is the capacity of the theatre (including performers).
  • Use of the stage with stage lights set on the balcony.
  • You may choose to have your event displayed on the marquee on the day of your event.
  • The kitchen, concession area.
  • You may have a poster hung in the display case on the day of your event.

House Set-Up:
Upon your arrival, the theatre will be clean, tables set aside and chairs stacked. The house must be returned to the way you found it.

Insurance:
For each rental we require insurance. Please contact the Park for details, and your insurance company to see if your current policy allows for this. If not, you must obtain a rider on your policy.

Non-Profit Rentals
Alcohol (beer, wine and spirits) may be sold if the renter has applied and obtained a 24-hour liquor permit (Special License) issued by the State of Michigan Liquor Control Commission. Information on obtaining this permit can be found here. We can offer guidance on obtaining your first one. You must show proof of this license before and during your rental.

Private Rentals:
Alcohol may be served (not sold) at events where no admission is charged.

Serving Non-Alcoholic Beverages
Any non-alcoholic beverage can be provided or sold at any time.

Food
Food may be provided or sold. Caterers may be used to provide this service if desired.
