The words Lakeshore Idol conjure up images of screaming fans, incredibly gifted performers, and electrifying entertainment. At the Park Theatre and Holland Civic Theatre, we're still basking in the glow of the sensational competition. In addition to exposing the raw talent that exists right here in our own community, Lakeshore Idol also confirmed the well established notion that interest in the arts appeals to the broadest spectrum of folks in our community. To paraphrase the words of Judge Red Kingman after the sold-out Valentines Day show, "We really saw Holland. A new Holland. A 21st century Holland. Everyone's welcome."

The only downside was that not everyone looking to share the experience was able to secure a ticket. The community asked for an encore, and we made it happen! All ten of the finalists starred in Lakeshore Rising Stars - An Unforgettable Journey, a cabaret written, produced and directed by Cici Gramer. The community performances from May 30, 2008 through June 1, 2008 were a terrific success. They truly demonstrated the dynamic atmosphere and fantastic talent that made Lakeshore Idol such "An Unforgetable Journey."
